Helen Sahinen Badge of Courage

This colorful badge is named after Helen Sahinen, a powerful breast cancer survivor. Helen was 37 when she was diagnosed with stage 0 breast cancer. She had a bilateral mastectomy and was clear for 11 years. Then, at the age of 48, she was diagnosed with a second primary form of breast cancer at stage 2. She underwent chemo treatments with the hope of a full recovery. She is now clear of cancer and lives a full life.

The perfect gift for breast cancer survivors, the Helen Sahinen Badge™ has blue shiny beads, forming swirls around its magenta colored shape. Embroidered with red beads at their base, these swirls reach up to the center, where blue petal shaped beads form a flower. In the center of that flower, there is a blue pearlized bead, celebrating the shape of the female breast. This colorful badge has the choice of the following words: EMPOWERED (ENG.) or ENERGIA (SPAN.) hand embroidered on the back, providing inspiration to all women.
